Technologies at your fingertips...this is how the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) now offers knowledge and technologies developed via its One-Stop Information Shop of Technologies (OSIST) portal which is now made available to the public. There are about 280 technologies (services, products and processes) listed in the OSIST portal with an information on the technology developer or expert and the technology itself. Completely Filipino-owned, the technologies were developed in the Philippines by the DOST research and development (R&D) institutes, partner government agencies, academe and the private sector. These are in the areas of agriculture, energy, food, health/pharmaceutical/medical products, process, aquatic and marine, disaster management; equipment/devices, handicrafts, textile, among others. The OSIST is the product of DOST’s e-Government-funded project which is anchored on President Arroyo’s development agenda particularly in mobilizing knowledge and S&T for productivity, economic growth and job creation.
